Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:02pm by Julie B.
Introductions were made around the room and 41 members and guests
were present.
Julie read the treasurers report,
we have $17,220.43.
Julie B. announced:

Jeff Horn is
looking at getting signs put up on Cronan
-
THe Kiosk at
Cronan was vandalized again
-
April 19th is a
work day with ARC at Cronan. Call Gail Zeigler at ARC if
interested in helping
- they will be installing culverts starting at
9:00am
-
DTP and CCC
will be doing a training excercise out at Cronan on the 26th at
9:00am to expose/desensitize horses to bikes. They will split
into groups and ride at different areas within Cronan. Bring a bag
lunch.

The Jack Brooks
campout now has 18 people committed. We need 20 to meet the
minimum for the caterer. You have until 5/15/08 to sign up and
the cost is $150.00

Volunteers are
still needed to help with "Trail Fest" on June 9th. Call ARC if
interested
Francine Scott
updated us on the covered arena being installed at American River
Ranch. It should be finished within two to three weeks
Shelley Janek from ElDorado County and Georgetown Divide Resource
Conservation Districts spoke to us about an upcoming workshop to be
held on May 17th in Placerville about "Managing Horses on Small
Acreage". The cost is $20.00 and the proceeds will fund a Livestock
and Land Demonstration Site. Shelley also mentioned that they would
come to your property and do a site visit for free. For more

Bill Bennett won the door prize; A $50.00 gift certificate towards a
DHA ride.
The Saddle Fitters gave an indepth demonstration about properly
fitting your saddle to your horse.
Mowgli (Heather
Swanson’s horse ) was a great model. It was very
informative and several people made appointments to have them come
and fit their horses.
The meeting was adjourned when the saddle fitters were finished at
9:00pm
